Full Time MS/PHD Programs
  • Biomembrane Sciences
    The goal of the Biomembrane Sciences track is to develop scientists who are skilled in molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying development, growth, and barrier properties of biological membranes as relevant to the etiology and treatment of disease.

    Research topics include: drug delivery; drug metabolism; evaluation of cosmetic products; mathematical models; molecular pharmaceutics; percutaneous absorption; pharmacokinetics; rational design of nanocarriers; transport; skin and hair measurements.

  • Drug Development Sciences
    The goal of the Drug Development Sciences track is to train scientist with broad-based expertise in preclinical /clinical pharmaceutical sciences for the purpose of effectively translating novel therapeutic entities into the clinic.

    Research topics include: acetylcholine; hormone-responsive cancer; MDMA; neuroendocrinology; neuropharmacology; neurotoxicity; osteopontin; pituitary hormones; tumor growth/metastasis/progression; renal pharmacology.

  • Heath Outcomes
    The goal of the Health Outcomes track is to train interdisciplinary scholars with expertise in pharmaceutical sciences, economics, business and quantitative analysis who can apply these skills to conduct research for improving the health of patients. This relatively new research area is expanding rapidly due to increased demand form the pharmaceutical industry for qualified scientists with a background in the social and administrative areas of pharmaceutical sciences.

    Research topics include: drug safety and pharmacovigilance; drug utilization review; facility design; health outcomes in Alzheimer's disease, geriatrics, and transplant; pharmacoeconomics; pharmacoepidemiology.

Part Time MS Evening and Distance Learning Track
  • Drug Development
    Special, non-traditional degree track targeting professionals in pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.

Part Time MS Distance Learning Tack
  • Cosmetic Science
    On-line degree track focusing on design, evaluation, and control of cosmetic products.
